Immigrant Blood Pressure Screenings in the Bronx

Another wonderful collaboration with Columbia's InTOuCH program to bring blood pressure screenings and health counseling to recent immigrants and refugees in Bronx, NY. Many nations were represented and many languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic. Despite these obstacles, our team quickly found that we had more in common with these immigrants than differences and our counseling was unhindered. It was an amazing experience. Thanks also to Healthfirst and Jamhiyatu Ansaru-Deen Masjid for supporting and coordinating these efforts!
